A letter from the founder

Where Vinqlo comes from

If you are reading this, you may know someone who finds it hard to find their place among other people. Or maybe it's you. For me, it's my brother, and that's why I created Vinqlo.

My name is Raúl, I'm 20, I'm from Berga and I study at the University of Manresa. I have an older brother with NESCAV syndrome, a rare disease that, among other things, makes it harder for him to socialise. He is one of the people I love most in the world and, like any younger brother, I have always wanted to help him in every way I could.

Have you ever wondered what it feels like to want friends and not know how to start? I have asked myself that many times, watching my brother. One day, thinking it over in class, I stopped asking and started looking for a solution. I couldn't find one ready-made. So I decided to create it.

Vinqlo was born for something simple and, at the same time, very important: for you to connect with someone through the things you enjoy and, from there, to talk, get to know each other and become friends. Often, a conversation on your phone is the first step to no longer feeling alone.

If someone like my brother can at least chat with another person, we will already have achieved a lot: both of them will feel better, because they'll have someone who listens.

My brother is not an isolated case. If you work at an organisation, you surely know someone like him. And if you are the one living this first-hand, I want you to know something: you are not alone, and I created this with you in mind too.

That's why, if you represent an organisation, when I talk to you I'm not here to sell you a product. I'm here to talk to you about a need that already exists among the people you support every day. Vinqlo is one more tool to care for them.
