Child safety
This translation is for information only. In case of discrepancy, the Spanish version prevails.
1. Zero tolerance
Vinqlo does not accept any content or behaviour involving the sexual abuse or exploitation of minors. That includes photos, videos, audio or text depicting child sexual abuse, trying to gain a minor's trust for sexual purposes (grooming), asking them for intimate images or to meet up, and any other way of sexualising a child or teenager.
If we find it, we remove the content, suspend the account and report it to the authorities.
2. Who can use Vinqlo
Vinqlo is for people aged 16 or over. When signing up, each person confirms they are that age. We don't ask for a date of birth or any ID, so we can't fully verify it; that's why reports matter so much.
On top of that, you can only join with an invitation code from an organisation (an association or a centre): it is not an open network where anyone can create an account.
3. How the app is designed to keep you safe
- In chat you can only send text messages and voice messages of up to 2 minutes. Photos and videos can't be sent by private message.
- Voice messages are stored in a private space: only the two people in the conversation can listen to them.
- You can only send one first message to someone who isn't your friend yet, and it reaches them as a request. You can't send anything else until they accept it, and if they decline you can't insist. Each person can send at most 10 new requests a day.
- You can block anyone. If there's a block, neither person can write to the other.
- Posts, comments, names and bios go through a filter for insults and threats. That filter only checks text: it does not analyse images or private messages.
4. How to report
In the app you can report a post, a comment, a message or a profile from its menu. You choose the reason (inappropriate content; harassment or insults; fake profile or impersonation; spam or advertising; or another reason) and, if you like, explain what happened. When you report something, a copy of the content is saved so it can be reviewed even if it's deleted later.
You can also write to us at contacto@vinqlo.app. If it concerns child sexual abuse or exploitation, say so in the subject line so we deal with it before anything else.
If a child is in immediate danger, call 112.
5. What happens after a report
Every report reaches the Vinqlo team as soon as it is sent. It is reviewed by a person, not by an automated system, and we commit to doing so within 24 to 48 working hours. This is a commitment from our team, which is small today, not an automatic response.
Depending on what we find, we can remove the post or comment, suspend the account, or close the report if there's no problem. When it involves child sexual abuse or exploitation, the account is always suspended and the case is reported to the authorities.
6. Cooperation with the authorities
When we find illegal child sexual abuse or exploitation content, we will report it to the competent authorities: in Spain, the Policía Nacional or the Guardia Civil, and in Catalonia, the Mossos d'Esquadra. Where appropriate, we will also report it to specialised bodies such as NCMEC (National Center for Missing & Exploited Children) or the INHOPE network of hotlines.
We will respond to requests from the authorities in accordance with the law.
7. Contact person
The person responsible for these standards and for child safety reports is Raúl Arpal Sánchez, creator of Vinqlo. You can reach them at contacto@vinqlo.app.
